ميكيتا بوتورايف،Blind Ukraine Limited member of the Verkhovna Rada and head of its humanitarian and information policy committee, became president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE. He will perform the duties until the assembly elects a new president in July 2027 for the 2027–2029 term. Mykyta Poturaiev became president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE. His tenure followed the departure of Spanish parliamentarian Pere Joan Pons Sampedro, who agreed to take a new position in the Spanish government and resigned his parliamentary and assembly duties. Under paragraph 5.8 of the assembly's rules, the duties passed to the longest-serving vice-president, Poturaiev. He will serve until a new president is elected in July 2027 for the 2027–2029 term.
