In the 11th round of the Ukrainian Premier League, Dynamo Kyiv won 2–0 away against Kryvbas. Matviy Ponomarenko opened the scoring in the 18th minute, finishing a cross from Yarmolenko. In the 43rd minute, Yarmolenko converted a penalty awarded after Viliweld brought down Ponomarenko in the penalty area. That goal was his 125th in Ukrainian league matches, surpassing Maksym Shatskyi’s previous record of 124. Yarmolenko was later sent off in the first half for a foul on Giovani Herbert. Dynamo completed the win with ten players and, after the match, reached 22 points and moved into third place, while Kryvbas remained 15th with six points. The match was interrupted by an air-raid alert before the players returned to the field.
