مزارعو مولدوفا ي threatening protest against Ukrainian grain imports ahead of October 31
Farmers in Moldova are preparing to protest on October 29 and 30 unless parliament extends import licensing for Ukrainian grain and oil crops and introduces other support for domestic agriculture. The current licensing mechanism is due to expire on October 31, 2026, and does not allow automatic extension. The dispute reflects farmers’ concerns about cheaper Ukrainian agricultural products and disruptions to Ukraine’s Black Sea exports.
