The attack damaged substations, transformers and power lines, leaving hundreds of thousands of families without electricity. Over the preceding week, Russia launched 1,940 strike drones, more than 1,580 guided bombs and 44 missiles, including 36 ballistic missiles, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
