The crowd damaged gates, windows, and the fence, threw stones, smoke bombs, and pyrotechnic devices, and damaged the National Guard bus and police cars; shots were also fired. Four soldiers with injuries were taken to a medical facility. The National Guard and Interior Ministry commissioned internal investigations, while the State Bureau of Investigation opened proceedings on 3 November under Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code. Investigators from the DBR, prosecutors, the National Police, and the Military Ombudsman’s Office joined the inquiry. The woman who first reported illegal detention, Valentina Moloda, was detained. According to Budanov, she and her driver had been reconnoitering the site for at least three days, and investigators found photographs and correspondence, including messages with Telegram channels that later circulated information about the incident. Her motive remains unestablished.
